What is a dentist?
A dentist is a specialist who works to diagnose, treat, and prevent oral health problems. Your dentist has completed at least eight years of schooling, and received either a DDS (doctor of dental surgery) degree, or a DMD (doctor of dental medicine) degree. A dentist has to continue to upgrade his education each year. Our dentist is registered with the Canadian Dental Surgeons of British Columbia (CDSBC) and all of our hygienists and assistants have fulfilled their required education requirements.

How to find a good dentist?
Finding a dentist that you feel comfortable with and can trust him is challenging at first. However, you can ask family members, friends or your family doctor for more information of dentists and dental offices in your area. In addition, internet and dentist directory are good tools to find a dentist.

What is dentistry?

Through our dental center, Glen Dental Centre, we offer a full range of Dental solutions.  Our D.D.S dentist and his team provides dental services from Cosmetic dentistry, Orthodontics, Invisalign, Invisalign teen, dental Implant, family and children dentistry to laser and oral sedation dentistry.

Can we get affordable dental care at the dental office by your dentist? What are the dental costs?
Our dentist and his team at the dental office do their best to provide you with the best dental care they can. Our fees follow the guidelines outlined by the BC Dental Association and payment is expected at the time services are performed.

Does your dental centre accept dental insurances?
If you have dental coverage, dental benefits or dental plans, as a courtesy to our patients we do accept co-payment by dental insurance plans. Patients’ payment can be made by cash, major credit and or debit cards.
I already have a dentist, but am looking for a new dental office. How can I change?
When you’re ready to change your dentist, call us and we will facilitate all of the paperwork free of charge. It’s very important for you to build a relationship with a dentist whom you trust and feel comfortable with.

What are teeth bleaching or Whitening?
Tooth whitening/ bleaching is a dental cosmetic dentistry to whiten your smile in an easy and fast way. There are many products and techniques available such as Zoom Whitening, Laser Whitening, tooth bleaching (in case for a tooth discoloration as a result of root canal), and teeth bleaching for patients who want to achieve a whiter smile. Sometimes, it can be difficult to choose the method that is right for you. What are cost of dental implants?
Dental implant or teeth implant is one of the dental services that our dentist provides in his dental clinic. The cost of dental implants depends on many factors such as the bone trickiness of the surgery area. In many cases a consult with our dentist can answer many of your questions.

Can I have sedation dentistry for my dental care?
Sleep dentistry or sedation dentistry is a safe and effective way to calm your fears. How often should I visit my dentist for a dental check up and cleaning?
It depends on your oral health, but generally dental cleaning and check up is recommended twice a year. In many cases, your dentist may recommend more visit or less visits based on your individual needs.

How much are braces? What is the cost of Invisalign?
Getting that perfect smile is an important investment because you are investing in yourself, which can pay important dividends in terms of self esteem, confidence, career and relationships. You can arrange a monthly payment as long as your active treatment is in session and it is absolutely interest free.
